JMango360

JMango360 builds apps for both large and small online retailers. They do so with their self-designed software. Having an app makes it possible for the online retailer to optimise the user’s shopping experience and stimulate purchases. Next to building apps, JMango360 manages and maintains the app’s software. This way the user can focus on their business, rather than having to worry about the technology surrounding it.

Mobile app, API en text descriptions translated to Danish & Swedish

JMango360 is already succesful in various countries. The organisation wanted to add Sweden and Denmark to this list. JMango360’s wish was to translate the mobile app, mobile API and supporting texts from English to Danish and Swedish. This meant the translation of almost 4.000 words in four days.

Method

Two native speakers for an unambiguous translation

JMango360 sent us the to be translated texts in Word and Excel format. The files contained both elaborate explanatory texts as well as short sentences (e.g. ‘Account is created’ and ‘Customer shipping address not found’). To ensure all texts would be consistently translated, we consciously chose for one Danish and one Swedish translator. After a short instruction they quickly started translating the texts. Upon completion, they double-checked their texts on correct spelling and grammar.

Result

Clearly translated texts and sentences

The result of the translation was clearly translated content. It was made sure that important terms and keywords were consistently translated by carrying out a strict quality control. The texts we received in Word format were sent back in the same file extension upon completion. This also applied to the Excel file, which was also sent back in the same file extension as we received it. The translated Excel file enabled the organisation to load the texts back into their own database. This way the translated texts were directly in the right spot in JMango360’s back office.
